personal retreats

If the experience of personal retreat is new to you, we can offer a number of printed guides to assist you, as well as the opportunity to meet with a spiritual director to help discern how best to approach your time. The four comfortable guest rooms, two on the second floor and two on the third floor, are well appointed for prayer, solitude, study, and restful sleep. Each floor has a full bath and we provide towels and bedding for overnight guests.

The main floor space, both inside and out, has many comfortable nooks where you can sip a cup of coffee or tea, read and reflect, or sit and watch the birds. Healthy, delicious meals are included as part of your stay, whether for overnight ($120 - Single, $150 - Couple), or a day retreat ($60) . For a day retreat, you can come anytime between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. For an overnight retreat, check in is after 3 pm and check out is before noon, unless otherwise requested. We have internet access, and you can pay by cash, check or credit card. Contact us with suggested dates to schedule your retreat.

"For over 25 years I’ve been practicing the habit of personal retreats, often in secluded locations to escape the noise of the city.  However, what is desperately needed are sacred spaces in the middle of urban centers, so being still in the midst of real life can be learned.  Thank God for Fall Creek Abbey.  I have discovered Fall Creek Abbey to be a unique urban retreat that inhabits hospitality, breathes rest, and exudes the presence of God. It’s a place I treasure … and a respite I have encouraged our congregation to experience."
