We believe that vocational challenges and questions are not merely a problem to be solved; rather they are a crucial part of your formational journey. One of the most frequent needs our guests and those seeking spiritual direction express are questions of vocation. At various junctures of life we all feel stuck, lost, confused, and even hopeless concerning our life’s work and how to provide for our practical needs. Having stood at this foggy crossroads ourselves, we can serve as guides for those seeking clarity, confidence and forward momentum in pursuing their calling.
God cares deeply about how you steward your gifts and talents, as well as your practical and financial needs. Hearing from God in tangible ways as you take a deeper look at your own desires, personality and capacities will be some of the most important work you will do as you orient to God’s invitations in the world. You will find answers to your questions through David’s career counseling practice at Direction 4 Life Work.
Self-knowledge is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. While this can come from countless sources, the Enneagram is uniquely equipped to provide an in-depth understanding of who we have become and why we do what we do. We’ve been studying the Enneagram for almost 20 years and actively teaching individuals and groups for half a dozen years, and this profound tool still continues to amaze us!
If you are curious about this ancient and insightful psycho-spiritual tool and would like to clarify your home style and increase your self-awareness, contact us for a personal enneagram consultation ($100). We are also available to provide customized Enneagram workshops for teams or congregations who are seeking to increase individual and community understanding. We are deeply grateful for the training we have received through both Crosspoint Ministries and master teacher, Suzanne Stabile (co-author of The Road Back to You and author of The Path Between Us).
If you have been gifted with a sabbatical, it can be extremely helpful to have a spiritual director coach you as you prepare for your sabbatical, transition in and out of sabbatical, as well as support you during your sabbatical.
During your sabbatical, you won’t have contact with many of the supportive men and women you interact with on a day to day basis. Having a trained spiritual director to regularly connect with can help you stay grounded as your days and weeks are emptied of normal routines. We have accompanied a number of individuals in all phases of this rich, yet sometimes intimidating experience of deep rest and reflection. Contact us if you’d like to have a conversation about how we might support you.
