I was drawn to offer Spiritual Direction after noticing that I found myself naturally sitting with other people, listening to their stories with a servant’s heart. This realization led me to be trained as a spiritual director for individuals and groups. I have completed two years of training through Sustainable Faith and completed the specialized training in accompanying people as they make the Ignatian Exercises. I received additional certificates of training in the Enneagram and supervision of spiritual directors.
I made the Spiritual Exercises during my second year of training as a spiritual director and they were a life-changing experience. I moved closer to God, redefined love, and opened my heart to receive more of Him. I now live in friendship with the Trinity and find myself regularly practicing many of the principles of Ignatian Spirituality. To date, I am still being shaped and impacted by the Exercises. As I made the Exercises, Ignatian Spirituality felt like home to me and the desire surfaced to guide others through this process. Being a witness to the loving action of God in others is sacred. Guiding folks through the Exercises brings a warmth to my heart as I see people fall in love, either for the first time or again, with our Lord. Hearing the growing freedom in their hearts as they open themselves up to the loving gaze of the Father, desiring to draw near Him and moving out into the world to share that same love with others is…well, priceless.
